Anastasia is passionate about social and environmental justice, and using the agency of the built environment to embody and promote these issues.
Being a strong believer in the importance of site-specific architecture, Anastasia enjoys the challenge of working within varied site constraints to develop unique and sustainable designs, while maintaining the integrity of the streetscape.
When she is not working at Anderson Architecture, Anastasia is developing her Honours thesis, in which she is exploring the place-making practices of First Nations peoples across the continent prior to 1788 in contrast to the built environment practices implemented thereafter that continue to shape our spaces today. Her aim is to consider how built environment professionals, educators and students could better engage with the First Nations heritage of our spaces to provide more inclusive built and spatial outcomes for all.
